Job Description:
Job Overview
This position is responsible for providing line management to an assigned data management team. It also involves delivering strategic solutions and process improvements for clients.
Essential Functions
- Lead clinical data management activities across programs to ensure
- quality, reliable data for regulatory approval and market acceptance. - Manage a Data Management team, which can range from 15 to 40 staff, in a
- line or
- line management capacity. - Define and prioritize resource needs, manage resource allocation across projects.
- Monitor and optimize department utilization and productivity.
- Assess staff competencies, set goals, evaluate performance, and support team development.
- Align department objectives with organizational goals.
- Review and guide Data Management deliverables, including database setup, validation, programming, and Data Management Plans.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders to solve problems and enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to strategy development for new processes and technologies.
- Develop and implement training and professional development plans for the department.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers at project and departmental levels.
- Support proposal development, scope of work, and participate in bid defenses.
- Lead customer meetings, discuss project requirements, and strategic planning.
- Build and motivate a global data management team with open communication and high standards.
- Serve as senior contact for escalations, participate in scope and budget discussions.
- Contribute to the development of smart systems and efficient data collection, integration, and reporting methods.

Qualifications
- Graduate degree in science, pharmacy, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, including significant people management experience.
- Deep understanding of the data management process and specialized skills.
- Knowledge of clinical drug development processes.
- Proven experience managing full data management study lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office, clinical applications, and internet tools.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and data management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
- Leadership skills to manage and inspire a diverse team.
