Associate Contract Manager (Portugal/Europe)
Responsibilities:
- Manage simple contract negotiations and document processes for Product Marketing, Purchasing, and Sales.
- Review, revise, draft, and negotiate
- related volume purchase/buying group agreements (less than $100 million), rebate agreements, and product
- related modifications. - Advise sales and related departments on business issues and risks.
- Negotiate strategic initiative agreements.
- Develop mitigation strategies and negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Identify and implement process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Research and prepare responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Perform contract compliance functions, including reviewing agreements, implementing terms, and auditing databases.
- Support the Transactional Legal Team with tasks such as termination reviews, contract interpretation, SOX/audit research, and other projects.
- Review and negotiate standard company documents like termination letters, purchase orders, and settlement agreements.
- Ensure proper application of contract terms through review and audits.
- Act as liaison between departments to ensure negotiations serve all parties' interests.
- Participate in
- departmental projects. - Assist in document retention and legal discovery efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Operate under supervision within established guidelines.
- Exercise independent thinking and
- solving skills at a medium level. - Conduct negotiations under supervision or guidance.
- Impact
- wide results, affecting major functions and international subsidiaries. - Require 1-2 years of experience, with desirable prior negotiation or contract handling experience.
- Knowledge of internal processes and legal or paralegal education is desirable.
- Self-motivated, able to work under stress and shifting priorities.
- Strong verbal, analytical, and written skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to build effective relationships and communicate ideas clearly.
- Effective interaction with all management levels.
- Skilled negotiator capable of closing mutually beneficial transactions.
- High level of
