THE ROLE
The Legal, Ethics, and Compliance Team at FARFETCH is looking for a Governance Specialist (equivalent to an Associate Governance Professional / Assistant Chartered Secretary), reporting to the Senior Governance Principal. You will support the Governance team to provide high‑quality corporate administration and governance services to the various Group subsidiary companies located in multiple jurisdictions, and provide guidance and advice to a large variety of both internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the coordination of the Annual Statutory accounts' approval process for Group subsidiary companies
- Prepare board and shareholder resolutions for Group subsidiary transactions
- Manage the preparation and approval of powers of attorney across multiple jurisdictions
- Review, collate, and respond to Know Your Customer (KYC) requests received from various third parties
- Assist with administrative queries arising on material projects (M&A, Restructuring, Corporate Rationalisations, Tax and Treasury activities)
- Create and deliver workflows, guides, templates and other materials for stakeholders to build knowledge and enable self‑help
- Serve as the main touchpoint for all queries and questions to become a trusted advisor to the relevant parts of the business
- Undertake ad hoc research into governance‑related regulations
- Arrange the notarisation and legalisation of documents when required
Who You Are
- 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE)
- Chartered Governance Professional (ACG) or equivalent level of professional qualification and experience
- Collaborative team player who anticipates potential problems and develops mitigation strategies in advance
- Keen eye for detail and process improvement
- Excellent ability to understand legal and business issues quickly, balancing risks and exercising sound judgment to provide creative, practical and constructive advice
