What will you contribute? Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Associate Product Analyst will collaborate with the Development and Product Management teams on product requirements, design, documentation, and risk mitigation strategies. Participate in business case development, market research, and competitive intelligence analysis. Develop business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Define system and functional requirements.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Create recommendations and feature definitions to address market opportunities.
- Gather information from stakeholders to document functional, system, and data requirements.
- Perform product system impact analysis to determine affected functional areas of the application.
- Collaborate with team members to create detailed functional and/or technical specifications for new development or modifications to existing applications or systems. Review requirements developed by others and provide guidance to improve requirement quality as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members in the development of specifications to create unit and integrated test cases.
- Assist in the analysis of results of unit and integration testing.
- Provide overall direction for product enhancements and general product development requirements.
- Collaborate with technical communications writer to develop thorough documentation describing product changes.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose
- level information into details, and distinguish defects from enhancement requests.
Required Experience
- 1 year of business analysis or relevant experience.
- A degree or qualification in a relevant technical subject (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
- Analytics and data skills (data warehousing, data lake concepts); familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic SQL and querying.
- Basic AI/ML knowledge in an analytics context.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
