What will you contribute?
Reporting to the Technical Customer Support Senior Manager, the Associate Technical Support Engineer is the key interface between Finastra and its clients, contributing to the overall delivery of software and services to ensure a
- class customer experience. The role involves handling and resolving technical issues efficiently, assisting functional consultants as needed, testing beta releases, and potentially visiting client sites.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Respond to customer requests, issues, questions, or assistance needs, ensuring proper utilization of the product.
- Understand and replicate reported issues in Finastra environments.
- Perform technical investigations and root cause analysis, providing solutions or detailed analysis to stakeholders.
- Update clients on progress and ensure timely resolution, focusing on customer satisfaction and product quality.
- Participate in client meetings and Web
Ex sessions to facilitate communication and expedite issue resolution. - Validate fixes by testing scenarios thoroughly.
- Build and provide simple scripts with senior colleagues' assistance when necessary.
- Write technical specifications and document best practices.
- Escalate issues to team leaders or managers when needed.
Required Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business IT, or related field.
- Knowledge of RPG, Java, and SQL.
- Experience with IBM Web
Sphere MQ or Red
Hat AMQ is advantageous. - Familiarity with other programming languages and debugging tools across operating systems.
- Product knowledge of Midas and Fusion Payment Manager is preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, responsibility, and customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
