Director of Operations – NGO Advocacy for Autistic Kids

For our client, we are seeking candidates to fill the role of Director of Operations for an NGO, an advocacy project for autistic kids.

The project focuses on creating a sensory space for kids to have learning support as well as an opportunity to meet friends. This is built by a community of families.

Responsibilities

• Open and close daily operations of the learning center.
• Schedule tutors, therapists, and workshop leaders.
• Organize and prepare documentation/presentations for kids.
• Organize social events.
• Respond to family visits on occasional weekends.
• Manage the balance sheet of the learning center.
• Manage external supplies.
• Manage procurement.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Portuguese/English).
• Prior experience working with special needs families.
• High sense of urgency, organization and ability to think fast on their feet.
• Flexibility due to unpredictable changes.
• Self‑starter with curiosity for innovative practices and genuine interest in a child‑led environment.

The director of operations will report to the NGO advisory board and the General Manager.

Start date: Dec 1 2025.

Traditional employment contract provided, according to EU law.
