Automation Test Engineer - SEDT – Lisbon – Portugal (2 days P/W in office)

Candour are working with a true industry disruptor as they embark on the next stage of their significant expansion plans to source a number of accomplished Automation Test Engineers to join their growing team out of their Lisbon Technology Centre.

Key Technical Skills:

• Sound understanding of testing methodologies including
  - driven testing, unit testing and
  - driven testing.
• Ability to take an
  - first approach to quality engineering.
• Experience with C# testing framework.
• Experience with web application testing using tools such as Playwright.
• Experience with the API testing using Rest
  Sharp
• Behaviour-driven testing of executable specifications e. g. using Gherkin.
• Sufficient SQL expertise to develop effective backend database tests.
• Good understanding of Dev
  Ops principals and experience with CICD pipelines.
• Experience in working with version control tools like git.
• Experience with both cloud and
  - premises solutions.
• Experience of UI testing tools.

Nice to haves:

• Experience building tests into Azure Dev
  Ops pipelines.
• Exposure to Docker / Familiarity of containerization would be advantageous
• Particular understanding of the Azure cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring
  - on development of both testing frameworks and specific tests for APIs, data platforms and web applications
• Focusing on speed of delivery and quality, with suitable pragmatism – ensuring your solutions are always “appropriate” and not overly complex or
  - engineered.
• Enabling progression of projects from Po
  C to
  - production stage.
• Communicating and presenting ideas to colleagues in all parts of the wider business.
