About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join an international Test Centre of Excellence (TCE), responsible for delivering test automation services for core business areas such as Savings and Protection.

The professional will develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, train colleagues, ensure testing standards, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Karate, Gherkin, and Cucumber.
• Create and execute API test automation, ensuring full coverage of business requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate test scenarios into Gherkin syntax.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git
  Lab CI.
• Configure and maintain test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts, ensuring quality and performance.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and maximize ROI.
• Define automation strategy and perform test management within assigned projects.
• Estimate automation efforts, costs, and ROI.
• Conduct proofs of concept (POC) to assess automation feasibility.
• Analyse and document test results, providing insights for Go/No-Go decisions.
• Identify and communicate project risks, ensuring transparency in delays or quality issues.
• Participate in 3 Amigos sessions to refine test scenarios collaboratively.
• Provide training and mentorship to developers and junior testers.
• Promote test automation best practices across teams.
• Stay updated on emerging QA tools and frameworks.

Technical Skills (must appear on your CV)

• Degree in Informatics, Computer Science or related area.
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies (ISTQB vocabulary).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in test automation.
• Proven experience with Karate, Cucumber, Gherkin frameworks.
• Java, Maven, Jenkins, Intelli

• Postman and JSON.
• Docker (image creation, environment setup) and CI/CD pipelines.
• ALM Octane for test management.
• Experience in life insurance or protection systems (a plus).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SQL, UFT, or Selenium.
