About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join a
- established Test Centre of Excellence (TCE) responsible for delivering
- quality testing services across multiple business domains. The role focuses on automating test processes, ensuring testing consistency, and driving continuous improvement in test strategy, execution, and quality assurance. You will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, while mentoring other team members and contributing to the evolution of automation best practices.

Main Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Planning

• Define and implement the automation testing strategy within each project.
• Estimate budgets, timeframes, and ROI for automation initiatives.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) exercises to assess automation feasibility for various applications.
• Plan and manage the rollout of automated testing pipelines.

Automation Development & Execution

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Karate, Java, and Gherkin/Cucumber.
• Perform API testing using Postman and JSON.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Git
  Lab CI).
• Set up and maintain test environments using Docker and Kubernetes for reproducibility and scalability.
• Debug and optimize automated test frameworks for better performance and ROI.
• Document results and provide reports for Go/No-Go decisions.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Participate in 3 Amigos sessions (collaboration between developers, testers, and business analysts).
• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into automated scenarios.
• Train developers and junior testers on automation tools and frameworks.
• Promote continuous learning and keep

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Adhere to departmental testing methodologies and procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to delays, defects, and test quality.
• Contribute to overall process improvement and maintain alignment with organizational standards.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

• Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Test Automation.
• Proven expertise with Karate testing framework (minimum 2 years).
• Gherkin / Cucumber syntax.
• Java, Maven, Jenkins, and Intelli
  J.
• Postman, JSON.
• Experience creating and managing Docker images and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and principles (ISTQB vocabulary).
• Familiarity with ALM Octane or equivalent test management tools.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate testing risks.

Nice to Have

• SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Experience with UFT and Selenium.
• Background in insurance or financial applications testing.
