Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to collaborate closely with a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCo
E) in defining, implementing, and enforcing best practices for cloud operations. This is a
- time,
-
- materials engagement within the insurance domain, operating in a hybrid model with
- site presence required three days per week in Lisbon.

The role focuses on supporting new initiatives through architectural guidance, Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) deployments, and leading incident response and
- resolution activities in
- critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCo
E) to define, standardize, and enforce AWS operational best practices.

- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and AWS Cloud
Formation).

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated and reliable deployments.

- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and
- cause analysis for critical AWS workloads.

- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards.

- Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong
- on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related
- native components.

- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) methodologies.

- Practical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git
Hub Actions, and AWS Code
Pipeline.

- Solid background in monitoring, observability, and performance optimization within AWS environments.

- Proven
- solving skills and the ability to lead technical efforts under
- pressure conditions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

- AWS Certified Sys
Ops Administrator

- Terraform certification

Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles.

- Senior-level experience designing, deploying, and operating AWS solutions in
- scale environments.
