Position: Data Engineer AWS (100% Remote)What does it mean to be a Data Engineer at Nimber? It means designing and managing data pipelines that power decision‑making, working with AWS services to build secure, scalable, and efficient data architectures, and turning complexity into clarity. What you’ll be
- Design and maintain ETL processes using AWS Glue, including Glue Catalog, Jobs, and Crawlers. - Manage AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval, ensuring security and performance. - Build and secure data lakes with AWS Lake Formation, applying best practices for governance and architecture. - Use AWS Athena for querying large datasets and optimizing SQL queries for speed and efficiency. - Create and implement data models tailored to business needs. - Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, encryption, and access control. - Optimize performance across AWS services and troubleshoot issues proactively. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. - Manage multiple projects and deliver on time. What we’re looking for
Mandatory- Minimum of 4 years in similar experiences. - Hands‑on experience with AWS Glue, S3, Lake Formation, and Athena. - Strong skills in data modeling and ETL design. - Understanding of AWS security principles (IAM, encryption). - Ability to optimize performance and troubleshoot AWS services. - Solid communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Project‑management capability to handle multiple priorities. - AWS Certification (Big Data or Solutions Architect) is a big plus.
