• A master’s degree in information technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years of Database Administration experience supporting mission‑critical environments on AWS technologies: AWS RDS, Aurora Postgre
  SQL, My
  SQL & Redshift.

Key requirements are:

• Installation and configuration
• Performance & tuning
• Query optimization

Will be considered a plus the knowledge of the following AWS services:

• S3
• IAM
• Lambda
• Cloud
  Watch

Other requirements:

• The successful candidate must be available to work on shifts (the team covers a 10‑hour shift, 5 days a week) and be on‑call (approx. one week per month).
• Upper intermediate level (B2) of written and spoken English is a must.
• Strong persuading and influencing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• The ability to liaise with different levels of staff within the organization.
• Good team player.
• Must be motivated to progress in the role.
• Self‑starter with the ability to plan and manage work according to deadlines.
• Pragmatic approach.
• Willingness to share experience/knowledge.
• As part of the team, the new resource will be responsible for supporting at 360° the database layer of several services on different technologies, participating in international projects and having a chance to influence current and future technology choices.
• Workplace: Porto + hybrid work.
• Work schedule: 9 AM to 6 PM.
• Permanent contract.
