Azure Migration Specialist/ Engineer - Remote
Overview
Noesis is looking for an Azure Migration Specialist to lead or participate in projects migrating infrastructure, applications, and data from
- premises (or hybrid) environments to Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will ensure that migrations are executed with minimal interruptions, meeting timelines, budgets, security standards, and cloud best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assess the current environment (on-prem infrastructure, servers, applications, dependencies, network, storage, databases) to define the migration plan;
- Perform discovery and dependency analysis across applications, services, and data;
- Select the most appropriate migration strategy (lift & shift, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild);
- Design the target Azure architecture: networking, identity, security, virtual machines, storage, high availability, disaster recovery (DR);
- Use Microsoft migration tools (eg Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Database Migration Service) or
- party tools; - Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) for provisioning (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Power
Shell / Azure CLI scripts); - Plan and execute migration tests / pilot runs to validate functionality prior to full cutover;
- Manage
- over, data migration, synchronization, and minimize downtime; - Post-migration: monitor performance, optimize cost, ensure security, compliance, and make necessary adjustments;
- Document every stage of the project, prepare runbooks / playbooks / rollback plans;
- Coordinate with
- functional teams (infrastructure, networking, security, applications, business) and manage project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Azure: VMs, Azure SQL / Managed Instances, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks (VNet), NSGs, Express
Route / VPN, Azure AD / identity services; - Experience with Azure migration tools: Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Database Migration Service;
- Solid cloud networking, security, governance, and compliance knowledge;
- Proficiency in automation / Ia
C: Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Power
Shell, Azure CLI; - Ability to diagnose infrastructure, performance, interdependencies, and
- related issues; - Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability (HA) solutions;
- Experience in development using at least one of the following frameworks:. NET;
- Language skills (written and spoken): Portuguese, English (mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Administrator), AZ-305 (Architect), or equivalent;
- Previous experience migrating physical servers, VMs, or containers to Azure;
- Experience working with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud);
- Familiarity with agile methodologies or project management frameworks (eg Scrum, Kanban);
- Strong communication skills to present results, risks, plans, and technical decisions to
- technical stakeholders; - Experience with
- migration monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).

- Ability to perform under pressure, reduce downtime, and handle unforeseen issues;
