Offer Description
The NOVA National School of Public Health, NOVA University Lisbon, has opened an offer position for 1 Research Fellowship, within the scope of the R&D project HERA - Helping Empower Women through Reskilling and Advancement, (101196001), funded by the European Commission, under the following conditions:
Scientific area: Health Sciences
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in areas of Health Sciences;
- Professional experience in healthcare units;
- Solid knowledge of methods, frameworks, and tools for project management in health;
- Experience in monitoring, audit and quality evaluation of projects in health;
- Enrollment in a cycle of studies.
Preferential factors:
- Specific training in data analysis using R;
- Ability to communicate and express oneself effectively in both English and Portuguese, written and spoken;
- Organizational skills and autonomy;
Work plan:
a) Support for project management, including execution monitoring using specific tools;
b) Support for the operational preparation of the project across its various components (literature review, protocol development, conceptual, methodological, organizational, and logistical aspects);
c) Support in designing data collection instruments and monitoring and evaluation tools;
d) Collection and analysis of quantitative data;
e) Support in drafting reports and other necessary documents.
Workplace and scientific supervision: The work will be carried out at NOVA National School of Public Health, NOVA University Lisbon, under the scientific supervision of Professor Sónia Dias.
Duration of the Research Fellowship(s): the duration of the research fellowship will be for 12 months, starting in 1 January of 2026. The research fellowship can be renewed up to the maximum provided for in the Research Scholarship Regulations of NOVA University Lisbon.
Monthly maintenance allowance: The amount of the fellowship is 1 040, 98€ (may have a higher value, according to the technical and scientific skills demonstrated), according to the values for research fellowships awarded by FCTin
Portugal. In addition to this amount, there is the payment of personal accident insurance and the payment of voluntary social security.
Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation (100%) in case there is no need for an interview. If an interview is considered necessary, both components will be weighted: Curriculum evaluation (70%) and interview (30%).

Application deadline: The call is open from 27 november 2025 until 15 december 2025.

The following documents will be requested in the contracting phase:
a) Copy of civil and tax identification document(s) and, where applicable, social security document(s);
b) Document proving the country of residence, residence permit or other legally equivalent document, where applicable, valid at the start date of the fellowship;
c) Documents proving that the candidate meets the conditions required for the respective type of fellowship, namely proof of enrollment and registration in a cycle of studies or non‑degree course and/or proof of academic qualifications required for the type of fellowship, if applicable.
