Shield is a global startup with offices in Tel-Aviv, New-York, London, and Lisbon.

We’re growing and looking for an experienced Software Development Team Leader to lead one of our Application teams in Portugal, within our professional R&D department. The team includes 2 backend developers, 2 frontend developers, and 1 QA automation engineer. This role offers an opportunity to engage with engineering challenges, innovative technologies, and to advance our product. We seek a positive, proactive individual who owns their work and is eager to scale Shield’s product and team.

What You’ll Do

• Help recruit and mentor frontend and backend developers
• Lead a
  - stack development team
• Design and implement new features
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and other R&D teams
• Support and maintain the production environment

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience leading a team of 3-5 members – MUST
• At least 5 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Java and Spring – MUST
• Experience with Python and Angular – Advantage
• Proficiency with SQL and No
  SQL databases
• Experience with automation testing – Advantage
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Experience with Hibernate, Rabbit
  MQ, and Kafka
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Passion for learning and professional growth
• Proactive attitude with a 'Can Do' mindset
• BSc in Computer Science or a relevant field
