WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Back-End Web Applications Developer – European Commission

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our client’s Information Systems team. The role involves supporting digital solutions in public health, food safety, and internal market domains. You will work closely with policy units to develop, maintain, and optimize core applications and systems supporting health, food safety, and regulatory initiatives across Europe.

Your responsibilities include developing secure, scalable, and
- performing
- end applications, creating APIs for system integration, implementing security measures, designing software solutions, writing clean code, troubleshooting, and creating technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS: Proven 7+ years in
- end development with Java (JDK8 or later), JEE (version 7 or later), XML, SOAP web services, strong proficiency in Oracle RDBMS, at least 5 years using Git or SVN, understanding of web development cycles, security expertise, and excellent organizational and communication skills suitable for an international environment.
