Backend Engineer (. NET) – Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with deep. NET expertise, passionate about solving complex data challenges and excited by AI-powered development tools. You will work on critical services supporting
- volume B2B data pipelines, collaborating closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

-        Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using. NET 6/7/8 and ASP. NET Core.

-        Design, optimize, and maintain MS SQL Server databases and manage
- premise data warehouses.

-        Build scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion, cleansing, and enrichment.

-        Lead Stripe payment integration, ensuring secure transactions, subscription management, and compliance.

-        Participate in code reviews, architecture planning, and Dev
Ops operations.

-        Translate business requirements into
- performance backend solutions.

-        Mentor colleagues and contribute to development best practices.

Requirements

-        5+ years of backend development with C# and. NET Core/. NET 6+.

-        Strong SQL skills (MS SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, or equivalent), including query optimization.

-        Experience managing data warehouses, data modelling (3NF, star/snowflake), and compliance (GDPR/CCPA).

-        ETL experience (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or custom pipelines).

-        Proficient in Git, CI/CD, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and Dev
Ops practices.

-        Stripe integration experience (subscriptions, webhooks, invoicing).

-        Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

-        Excellent English communication; experience collaborating remotely.

Nice-to-Have

-        Experience with marketing or sales enrichment data, Saa
S growth products.

-        Experience in B2B Saa
S startups or
- up environments.

-        Open-source contributions in. NET or data engineering.

-        Event-driven architecture knowledge (Kafka, Rabbit
MQ).

-        Familiarity with security best practices (OAuth2, GDPR, PCI DSS).
