Overview

Aubay Portugal, a multinational French company active in Portugal, operates across sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, services, energy and transport. We specialize in management, implementation, development and maintenance of information systems. We are looking to expand our backend engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Strong backend engineering background with Java
• Shopify experience
• Familiarity with Micronaut, Gradle, REST APIs, and Kafka
• Experience with API design & integration (Open
  API / Async
  API specs, Shopify integration patterns)
• Experience in testing and quality assurance
• Knowledge of architecture and patterns: domain‑driven design, event‑driven architecture, reusable components (e. g. , Catalogue Validator)
• Focus on architecture, API design, mentoring and delivery
• Fluent spoken and written English

Qualifications

Entry level experience in backend development, strong foundation in Java, and a proven ability to work with micro‑services architectures and APIs.
