Responsibilities

• Drive a team: Manage a team of 8 Software Engineers; provide regular feedback through 1-on-1s and
  - yearly progress reviews; foster the growth of teammates through mentorship, pairing, and delegation; build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture; conduct interviews to hire new team members.
• Drive the delivery: Work with engineering, product and design leads to define a vision and strategy for your
  - functional team; drive delivery to meet business objectives; establish and use engineering best practices to ensure high quality.
• Be
  - on: Design, build, test, document, run, review, and maintain code in Go; maintain high quality through testing methodologies, documentation, pairing, and learning; help scale the backend code base while maintaining a strong engineering culture; support a critical service used by tens of thousands of users daily.

About Your Future Team

As a Backend Team Lead at Qonto, you'll be part of the Product Engineering department which consists of 500+ professionals. The department is organized into
- functional teams across five domains:

• Customer Lifecycle — account management and compliance
• Business Account — payments and financial tools
• Systems & Monetization — integrations and pricing
• Financial Tools — cash flow management and bookkeeping
• Regate by Qonto — platform for accountants to manage company creation, invoicing, and
  - accounting

• Management Experience: Successful prior experience as a manager, with ability to lead, develop, and retain talent.
• Technical Expertise: Strong software engineering background; Go proficiency is required, Ruby is a plus; familiarity with architectural patterns of large,
  - scale web applications.
• Leadership: Ability to evolve the team, set clear goals, and help members grow.
• Team player: Excellent communication to share knowledge across teams and align efforts.
• Languages: Fluent in English.
