Big Data Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team and work on
- edge data solutions. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing
- scale data environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across our Big Data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain Hadoop Ecosystem and Data Lake environments.
• Manage Big Data Services and Query Engines for efficient data processing.
• Implement monitoring, automation, and platform lifecycle management strategies.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within complex Big Data infrastructures.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to ensure data integrity and performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Hadoop Ecosystem and related Big Data technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Data Lake operations and query engines (e. g. , Hive, Presto, Spark).
• Hands-on experience in monitoring, automation, and platform management.
• Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting Big Data environments.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (2 days per week onsite in Lisbon).
