Big Data Specialist
Seniority: Mid/Senior
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Languages: English (C1) - french is a plus
Remote Work: 2 - 3 days per week in the office
We are only accepting candidates that are already in Portugal and that possess a valid work permit for Portugal
✅About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our Big Data ecosystem, supporting both platform operations and advanced data services.
Depending on your seniority, you will focus either on administration and operational stability or on more advanced design, optimization, and strategic contributions.
✅ Required Skills
Solid experience with Hadoop Ecosystem & Data Lake operations.
Knowledge of Big Data services and query engines.
Strong background in monitoring, automation, and lifecycle management.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Big Data infrastructures.
Experience in diagnosing performance bottlenecks and ensuring scalability.
Agile mindset and strong
- solving skills.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Manage and operate Hadoop Ecosystem and Data Lake environments.
Support and optimize Big Data services & query engines.
Implement and monitor automation, monitoring tools, and platform lifecycle management.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex Big Data environments.
Collaborate with
- functional teams to ensure high data availability, performance, and security.
