About the Finance team
This role is in the Financial Operations team which is part of the Group Internal Finance team at Trustly, comprising Financial Reporting and Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Finance Operations and Finance Systems. The team is a dynamic and cross jurisdictional team, which has an ethos of collaboration and continued improvement at its heart.
About the role
The Billing Specialist role is within the European component of the team, with initial responsibilities for jurisdictions within Europe, with scope to grow the role to cover other jurisdictions later.
What you’ll do:
- Billing: Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of invoices to customers, using the tools and systems for the individual entities.
- Credit notes: Reviewing requests for credits or refunds, and ensuring appropriate credit notes are raised in accordance with policy, with appropriate authorisations, using the tools and systems for each entity.
- Queries: Responsible for receiving questions and requests from merchants and from internal teams, triaging, ensuring appropriate responses go out within SLAs; managing the various ticketing systems and communication lines.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Company’s controls and policies,
- Accounting: Ensuring the monthly invoices and credit notes, refunds and any adjustments are recorded completely and accurately within the Company’s systems; assisting with reconciliations and reporting at month end.
- Collaboration: Proactively work with the wider teams - both finance and commercial, to ensure that the end to end billing process runs smoothly, accurate information is sent to our merchants, and exceptions are
- solved in real time. - Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the various processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Who you are:
- Proven experience in a billing role with knowledge and experience with the end to end process.
- Good knowledge of relevant systems (preferably including Netsuite), and strong excel skills.
- An understanding of and experience with associated month end tasks related to the billing cycle.
- Strong analytical and
- solving skills with a keen eye for detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a
- paced international environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
