Role purpose
We are looking for a BIM Coordinator to join our growing BIM team in Portugal. You will play a key role in coordinating BIM models throughout design, construction, and handover stages. This includes project setup, model creation, asset information implementation, quality checks, and clash detection. You will be supported by BIM Leads to ensure compliance with project requirements for High Voltage/Substation BIM projects in line with the ISO 19650 series. You will actively promote and help shape BIM procedures and workflows across the H&MV BIM department.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of BEPs and the delivery of client information requirements.
- Oversee and drive the setup of the BIM project environment.
- Assist in developing and maintaining BIM Project Execution Plans.
- Conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure quality and compliance.
- Facilitate periodic BIM model coordination and clash detection.
- Create BIM content and oversee quality control of content produced by others.
- Provide modeling support, updates, and corrections.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of BIM standards and workflows.
- Train, support, and supervise Revit users, ensuring adherence to BIM standards.
- Conduct internal training sessions and provide ongoing BIM-related support to staff.
- Educate teams and departments on BIM best practices and technical processes.
- Coordinate regular calls with engineers and stakeholders to align on BIM progress.
- Participate in client meetings to confirm BIM requirements and monitor implementation across all project stages.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Architecture).
- Proficient in English at
- advanced level (CEF level C1). - 4–5 years’ experience in BIM projects aligned with ISO 19650 series (desirable).
- Experienced user of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Auto
CAD, ACC/BIM 360, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong Revit modeling skills (other BIM software experience is a plus).
- Familiar with ISO 19650-1/2 standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of 3D modeling and model management.
