- growing business. As an Engineering Director / Manager, you will drive technical excellence and lead a
- performing engineering and operations team as part of the company’s operating leadership. You’ll often act as the mature voice in the room during
- pressure situations, guiding complex decisions with seasoned insight.

This role is pivotal in delivering scalable and secure mobile and backend solutions powered by Bryj’s platform. You will report directly to the COO or CTO and work closely with
- functional stakeholders in platform engineering, product, design, and customer success.

This role requires a combination of strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and steady leadership to drive product innovation and operational excellence in a
- paced,
- growth environment.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Provide steady, seasoned leadership across engineering and operations, often serving as the mature voice in the room during
    - pressure or complex
    - making.
  • Guide the technical direction of a
    - disciplinary engineering team (frontend, backend, mobile, Dev
    Ops), ensuring a scalable architecture and adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team of engineers with a steady, supportive leadership style, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Serve in a senior operating leadership capacity overseeing engineering development and operations, providing steady guidance and contributing to strategic planning and execution to align engineering resources with business objectives.
  • Oversee
    -
    - end software delivery – from scoping and planning to deployment and maintenance – ensuring timely delivery of
    - quality features aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with
    - functional stakeholders (Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Leads, etc. ) to prioritize features, assess technical feasibility, and define implementation plans, while navigating differing priorities with composure and clarity.
  • Champion modern development practices (CI/CD, code quality, testing, monitoring, incident response) and support the adoption of new tools and technologies to continuously improve engineering productivity and quality.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and help the team leverage emerging technologies to solve complex problems creatively, driving continuous innovation.
Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Experience leading agile teams in a
    - paced product environment.
  • Strong software architecture skills and
    - on experience with one or more of the following: Node. Js, Type
    Script, Graph
    QL, JAVA, Scala.
  • Native and
    - platform mobile frameworks (e. G. , Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native).
  • Cloud infrastructure (e. G. , AWS, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and modern Dev
    Ops practices.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with
    - engineering teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • A proactive,
    - oriented mindset with strong organisational and
    - making skills.
