A position is now open for the attribution of 1 Research Grant (BI) for the mobilizingagenda Aliança para a Transição Energética , project nr. 56, financed by Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (with operation code01/C05-i12/2024. PC644914747-00000023) through Next
Generation
EU’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

Work Plan and Objectives–the activities will focus on researching and developing the interface layer of an Auto
ML platform, with the goal of facilitating its use by different user profiles. The main tasks include:

• Research in the areas of interoperability and software architectures;

• Implementation and validation of interoperability components with external systems;

• Development of interface prototypes (frontend) for integrating Auto
ML technologies;

• Preparation of technical documentation and presentation of the results related to the developed solution.

Scholarship Duration:this scholarship will last for 9 months, from October 2025 to the end of the project.

Skills/Qualifications

Scientific Area: Machine Learning, Computer Vision.

Admittance requirements: candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management or similar. At the time of hiring, candidates must demonstrate enrollment in the following courses:

• Master's/Integrated Master's in a field related to the one requested in the announcement;
• Master's degree holders enrolled in

  - granting courses integrated into the educational program of a higher education institution (e. g. , postgraduate programs, advanced studies, specialized training, in a field related to the one requested in the announcement).

priority will be given to candidates with:

• Knowledge of software architectures and solution design;
• Knowledge of software development processes
• Knowledge of using GIT for version control;
• Knowledge of software development using React or Angular;
• Knowledge of specifying and developing REST APIs;
• Reading, writing, and speaking technical English;
• Dynamism, proactivity, and a high sense of responsibility.

Additional Information

Scholarship Duration:this scholarship will last for 9 months, from October 2025 to the end of the project.

Amount of the Monthly maintenance subvention: The amount of the scholarship will be €1. 040, 98, according to the table of values of the scholarships awarded directly by the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, research and technology (FCT) – online available at research grants values.

Applicable Legislation:The grant award is based on the Scientific Research Scholarship Statute, approved by Law No. 40/2004 of 18th August and the Research Grant Regulation in force of the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, which is the one adopted by the CCG/ZGDV Institute.

Selection process

Selection methods: The evaluation will take into account the candidate's merit, considering academic course, curricular profile and experience in scientific research, mainly in the scientific fields of specialization related with the requirements defined in this fellowship's position offer.

Candidate selection will be divided into two stages. While a former stage involving curricular evaluation (60% of the total value) will aim a preliminary screening, a latter one will consist of an interview (40% of the total value), with the goal of producing an ordered list of candidates. The candidate with the best score, according to the selection criteria previously specified, will be selected. The jury reserves the right to cancel the call if none of the candidates meets the required qualifications.
