Business Analyst - Porto or Lisbon Porto

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team for a 6-month project and act as a key facilitator between business areas and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in requirements analysis, process modeling, and supporting the definition of data-driven business strategies.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, proposing effective solutions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the organization’s strategic objectives are achieved. Your role will be essential for continuous process improvement and the successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and document business and functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
• Analyze and model business processes, proposing improvements and innovative solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams
• Maintain documentation of requirements, workflows, and use cases
• Work with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure continuous deliveries
• Support change management and the adoption of new technological solutions
• Perform feasibility analyses and evaluate the impact of proposed solutions
• Define and monitor KPIs and success metrics for the project
• Act as a liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
• Proven experience in business process analysis and modeling (BPMN, UML)
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and business analysis frameworks
• Experience with requirements management tools (Git
  Lab, JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Azure Dev
  Ops)
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Experience in requirements gathering and facilitating workshops with stakeholders
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis (optional but preferred)
• Experience with BI, Data Analytics, and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker (optional but preferred)
• Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA-CPOA) (optional but preferred)
• Experience in migration projects is a plus
