randstad SSC is recruiting for a client, a renowned bank that´s seeking a Business Continuity Consultant
Responsibilities Your role:
The Senior Business Continuity Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive business continuity plans that safeguard organizational operations in the face of potential disruptions. This role requires expertise in risk assessment, crisis management, and recovery strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute and maintain the Business Impact Analysis documents to ensure the business continuity plan is aligned with and supportive of critical business functions.
- Ensure alignment of Natixis Portugal Business Continuity framework and relevant documentation with Head Office policies.
- Consult with lines of business on business continuity processes and capabilities to properly assess recovery strategies.
- Execute and maintain
- level business continuity strategies and plans. Ensure consistent documentation of business continuity plans and procedures across Portugal. - Design, implement, and improve
- functional strategies that enable the recovery of critical business functions and systems. Define, document, and implement specific business continuity processes (process flows, roles and responsibilities, supporting documents and procedures). - Educate and communicate business continuity requirements, policies, standards, and procedures to stakeholders related to projects and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the risk acceptance process focusing on business continuity and recovery concerns, ensuring risks are documented and accepted at the appropriate organizational level.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate Business Continuity exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies. Update procedures and plans regularly.
If you have:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, emergency management, information technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, risk management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. - Certifications:
Professional certifications are considered differentiating factors.
Additional qualities include:
- Ability to work independently, seeking guidance only in complex situations.
- Keeping up to date with emerging trends, methods, and best practices in business resilience.
English level:
C1
