WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
At Marbls, we have the fortunate opportunity to work directly with a large diversity of Life Sciences companies that develop innovative drugs, devices and treatments to patients around the globe. Marbls is seeking a dynamic Business Development Associate that will support the entire Business Development and Sales Cycle with new and prospective clients in Europe and other markets. It as an exciting opportunity for an individual who is early in their sales and marketing career and wants to grow and learn within Life Sciences, consulting, and work collaboratively with high performing and supportive colleagues in Europe and U. S. markets.
The ideal candidate will be able to work closely in a team environment and be supportive to our colleagues and clients, demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal, think logically and analytically address tasks, and want to immerse and learn about the Life Sciences industry.
This role is a
- time, home
- based position in the Lisbon, Portugal metro area with travel as needed to our offices in Geneva, Switzerland, client locations in Europe and potentially to the U. S. for company meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead generation by identifying and researching potential clients through online research, existing GDPR compliant client contacts, existing clients, conferences, webinars, and events
- Prospect Engagement - Initiating contact with potential clients through various channels (e. G. , phone, email, social media) to understand their needs and build rapport
- Development Subject Matter and Content Knowledge - Work with our Managing Partners, Principals and Managers to understand the Life Sciences Pricing, Contracting, and Market Access business and technical domain
- Reporting - Tracking and reporting on sales activities and results to Managing Partner team and other Marbls colleagues
- Generate new clients that lead to closed deals from support by the Marbls leadership team
- Conduct regular campaign demand generation
- Communicate and present effectively in both one on one and presentation settings
- Provide detailed written updates and debriefs on client discussion
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility within a rapidly growing sales organization
- Support sales and contract operations, where and if needed
- Support the organization along with other Marbls colleagues and attend relevant industry conferences to fulfil above responsibilities
- Work and communicate transparently with colleagues
- Adapt and support new activities that may arise within a growing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree - Approach:
Nice, team oriented, collaborative, and focused on establishing long term relationships with colleagues and clients - Experience and/or training:
At least 2 years of experience in sales and marketing activities with external clients or customers, preferably in a Life Sciences or consulting environment - Learning Acumen – The ability to understand the Life Sciences domain and the application of Technology to support client needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication:
The ability to articulate complex situations in simple terms, adapt your communication style for different stakeholders, and employ empathy, active listening skills, and a unique ability to uncover customer needs and ensure their satisfaction. - Digital skills:
Proficiency in MS Office suite, social media applications and tools, CRM and/or Salesforce, and others
