Business Development Representative
Overview
As a Business Development Representative (Outbound Sales), you will identify and engage
- potential prospects through targeted,
- channel outreach. By building relationships, qualifying leads, and showcasing Sage’s value, you’ll create new opportunities and set the stage for our Account Executives to close deals.
Please note: This role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Porto, Portugal office.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage net new prospects through outbound efforts, expanding Sage’s customer base.
- Execute personalized outreach strategies, leveraging
- channel engagement (phone, email, Linked
In). - Qualify and nurture outbound leads, ensuring seamless handoff to Account Executives.
- Develop a deep understanding of Sage’s value proposition and articulate it effectively to potential customers.
Lead Identification, Generation, and Qualification
- Research and prioritize
- potential target accounts using
- driven insights. - Execute
- touch outbound campaigns through various channels such as phone, email, social media, and personalized messaging platforms. - Identify
- makers and influencers within target accounts and initiate conversations. - Qualify prospects based on BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) and other sales criteria.
Account Nurturing and Management
- Engage with leads who are not yet ready to make a purchasing decision by nurturing them through targeted
- up communications. - Develop meaningful outreach messaging tailored to industry and prospect pain points.
- Overcome objections and position Sage’s solutions as valuable business enablers.
- Build initial relationships, setting the foundation for Account Executives to close deals.
Pipeline and CRM Management
- Maintain accurate prospect data in the CRM to track outreach effectiveness.
- Analyze and report on pipeline health, lead conversion rates, and outreach performance.
- Leverage sales automation tools to optimize efficiency and improve engagement rates.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless lead handoff and feedback loops.
- Partner with Marketing to refine outbound messaging and enhance engagement.
- Contribute to best practices playbooks, optimizing outbound prospecting processes.
Continuous Learning
- Engage in advanced outbound sales training to improve cold calling, objection handling, and consultative conversations.
- Stay updated on competitor offerings and industry trends to sharpen outbound positioning.
- Participate in peer coaching sessions to exchange strategies and optimize outreach efforts.
