About the Position:

To support and respond to our needs, we are now looking for an Business Intelligence Engineer to join a dynamic team in the Porto area, under a hybrid
- 3 times per week. We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable analytics solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver reliable data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support strategic and operational
- making.

What are you doing…

  • Design and maintain data models (star/snowflake schemas) for analytics and reporting;

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple data sources;

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance;

  • Develop dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, Looker);

  • Implement security and governance (RLS);

  • Translate business requirements into BI solutions;

  • Optimize SQL queries and report performance;

  • Monitor BI workloads (cloud &
    - prem);

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product teams;

  • Define data standards, documentation, and best practices;

  • Support data lineage, metadata management, and audit processes;

  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy policies.

What we are looking for?

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;

  • Advanced SQL (optimization, complex joins, indexing);

  • Experience with
    Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Synapse, Big
    Query, Redshift, SQL Server);

  • Power BI (DAX, semantic models, Direct
    Query, Premium);

  • ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Airflow, dbt, SSIS, Fivetran);

  • Dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology);

  • Excellent communication with technical &
    - technical stakeholders;

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in
    - paced environments;

  • Strong documentation and
    - sharing mindset;

  • Good level of English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP);

  • Python for automation or data processing;

  • BI Dev
    Ops / CI-CD (Git, deployment pipelines);

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks.
