WHO YOU ARE

• Previous management experience in a financial/commercial role with proven analytical and numerical skills;
• Understanding of profit and loss and how to influence its results through actions;
• Experience in setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets, providing clear direction, and following up on goals;
• Strategic business partner with the ability to quickly develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions to make informed commercial decisions;
• Ability to recognize external trends relevant to the local market and translate them into business opportunities;
• Experience leading in a changing environment;
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence and energize teams;
• Excellent English skills;
• Willing to work at the Matosinhos and Braga stores.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US

• Lead the store Business Plan process with the store manager and management team, using local market data to understand customer needs and enhance their experience;
• Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment for customers, suppliers, and staff, adhering to rules on risk, compliance, cash handling, and accounting;
• Contribute to developing the store's business plan in alignment with IKEA's global strategies, national priorities, and local potential;
• Aim for growth and
  - term profitability with a focus on customer satisfaction;
• Drive and coordinate the financial planning process, aligning financial goals with store challenges and engaging stakeholders;
• Maintain oversight of the store and IKEA Food profit and loss statements, understanding the impact of actions, following results, and preparing forecasts or scenario plans as needed;
• Ensure investments are justified with proper ROI analysis considering all project aspects;
• Maintain the store's condition to a 'like new' standard through effective maintenance and property management;
• Minimize environmental impact by optimizing utility consumption, including energy, gas, and water;
• Lead and develop teams within the BNO function, identify talents, and ensure succession planning.

Note: The position requires working in both Matosinhos and Braga.
