Position: Business Analyst

What You Will Do

As a Business Systems Analyst supporting data analytics and visualization efforts within Amgen’s Global Procurement Operations, you will collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Business SMEs to develop reports and dashboards that provide insights into Source-to-Settle processes. This role is key to building Amgen’s analytics foundation for procurement transformation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Capture and document business reporting and analytics requirements.
• Design and develop dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or React
  JS.
• Translate procurement KPIs into visualizations aligned with product priorities.
• Collaborate with data sources teams (SAP, Ariba, Apex, Level
  Path) to define data access.
• Perform data validation and user acceptance testing.
• Enable
  - service analytics for business users.
• Maintain data models, dictionaries, and documentation for data accuracy.
• Implement data security and privacy measures.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and visualization standards.

What We Expect of You

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree + 5+ years relevant experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years relevant experience OR
• Diploma + 12+ years professional experience.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, React
  JS.
• Understanding of procurement data and Source-to-Settle processes.
• Design and UX skills, wireframing, prototyping (e. g. , Figma).
• Proficiency in Python, Py
  Spark, Scala, Databricks for ETL.
• SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control, CI/CD, testing, Dev
  Ops).
• Stakeholder collaboration to define KPIs and reporting needs.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS data services (EKS, EC2, S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Athena).
• Data modeling, warehousing, and integration concepts.
• Knowledge of ML pipelines and frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Tableau or Power BI certification; Agile certifications are a plus.
