CAD Technician - (Wastewater Treatment Projects) role at Glanua

Overview

Glanua is an industry leader providing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to design, build, operate and maintain critical water and wastewater infrastructure across Ireland and the UK. The role is office‑based in the Lisbon office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production of multi‑discipline coordinated models, drawings and schedules.
• Align design development with the project BIM execution plan, including regular coordination and model checks.
• Liaise between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers.
• Produce drawings with limited supervision, taking instructions from Engineers.
• Use initiative and knowledge to support the CAD team and grow expertise in CAD software and other tools.
• Work as part of a team, delivering one or more projects at any time, embracing a “one team” culture.

Qualifications

• 3rd‑level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a BIM coordination function.
• Experience in Revit model and family creation, BIM 360, and Navisworks management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
