A call is open for the allocation of one Research Fellowship for a Ph
D student or a Master of Science (MSc) degree holder enrolled in a
- academic degree course (Bolsa de Investigação - BI).

This fellowship is offered within the research project Aqua
Clean - “Monitoring and removal of endocrine disruptors in surface waters”, funded by the Promove Program “la Caixa” Foundation in partnership with the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).

Workplace: Laboratory of Environmental Sanitation, Geo
Bio
Tec research unit, Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal.

Academic qualifications (preferred): MSc degree or current enrollment in a Ph
D program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related areas.

Required experience: Operation of biological reactors, as well as experience in performing physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses of water and wastewater.

Objective of the work: Development and operation of novel constructed wetland bed configurations that incorporate construction and demolition waste (CDW) and magnetic nanoparticles to remove endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) from surface waters.
