ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons. POSITION SCOPE
You will be responsible for managing all Sidul plant capex and services (hard/soft) for the procurement team. This individual will be a key member of the site Corporate Engineering team, working closely with Operations and Maintenance teams on all site capex and services, contracts, compliance, negotiations, spend profiles, and sourcing alternative suppliers as needed.
You will develop and implement ASR’s purchasing strategy through effective vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, project management, and supplier capability assessment.
Position Responsibilities
- Negotiate and prepare contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements independently.
- Evaluate, qualify, and select suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of
- competitive category management strategies, analyzing supply markets and trends. - Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
- Lead and present meetings with C-Suite stakeholders.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP) for purchasing activities.
- Negotiate prices, terms, delivery, and volume levels with suppliers successfully.
- Research and evaluate global and local suppliers considering price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and financial stability.
- Understand and apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
- Communicate information clearly and concisely to all audience levels, including executive leadership.
- Work effectively in an industrial/plant environment, including factory operating areas.
- Proactively communicate risks and issues related to service providers and capital projects.
WORK EXPERIENCES
- Strong background in industrial services and/or project purchasing, preferably within manufacturing environments.
- Experience in operations, project, and/or maintenance categories.
- Solid understanding of Hard services management.
- Background in manufacturing, preferably in food and beverage blending and packaging.
- Experience in contract negotiations and management.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a
- paced environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
