Overview

The Finance Capital Markets Products Controller mission is to ensure the reliability, sincerity, integrity and the exhaustiveness of the accounting delivered by the upstreams chains (Front to Back) and organisation (Operations – Back and Middle Office). This position works within BNP Paribas' GECD business that encompasses research, structuring, trading and sales of equity, index and fund derivatives.

Your Main Activities

• Ensure the accounting control level one on a dedicated perimeter of products within your team and ensure proper justification on all accounting control, including reconciliation with operations data inventory and reconciliation of sensitive accounts
• Analyse breaks and operational or financial risks, monitor and
  - up discrepancies resolution, and manage escalations to management when needed
• Collaborate with all partners, anticipate issues (pre-closing), ensure fluid communication during closing periods, and formalize issues to avoid recurrence (post-closing)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the control
  - up and ensure permanent evolutions to avoid manual adjustments
• Formalize team procedures and operating guides, participate in training and coaching for new joiners, formalize onboarding materials, and participate in management and department staff meetings
• Lead projects related to process and systems efficiency, and propose developments or improvements to secure processes and reduce operational risk
• Contribute to the Finance Arbitrage major project: replacement of the current General Ledger CODA with the Group Ledger OFS and assist on other Business & regulatory projects (requirements, testing, training,
  - migration controls,
  - live support)

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance and/or Accounting
• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, finance or related fields
• Proficient in MS Excel; knowledge of Matisse, ORACLE and ESSBASE
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
  - driven with strong analytical ability
