Capital Market P&L Reconciliation - Specialist
The Finance Capital Markets Products Specialist is responsible for measuring, controlling, and explaining the financial reporting of BNP Paribas’ financial entities across EMEA. The role ensures accurate, reliable, and comprehensive segmented financial data for all Capital Markets reporting streams, and supports daily production and financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Become the subject‑matter reference for the Finance department on product scope, processes, and activities.
- Work under the guidance of the SMS CMP team manager and the Project & Data Analyst team to analyse project impact, support solution design, and contribute to user‑testing, organisation, and testing campaigns.
- Maintain daily dialogue with managers, including CFO and EMEA production teams, to supervise operational matters and provide innovative solutions.
- Ensure on‑time delivery and consistent quality of EMEA CMP financial reporting outputs.
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all CMP‑related matters.
- Support implementation of Global Finance initiatives and contribute ad‑hoc to TAC/NAC impacts on CMP.
- Review FACT certificates and Control Book together with the Accounting Controls team.
- Participate in projects impacting CMP and other Finance initiatives.
- Provide concise alerts to senior management on material difficulties or slippage in project implementation.
- Co‑operate with and coach other team members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting and/or finance.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong financial and performance analysis skills.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Excellent communication, result‑driven mindset, and ability to synthesize and simplify complex information.
- Analytical aptitude.
