Capital Market P&L Reconciliation - Team Manager

The Finance Capital Markets Products Team Manager is responsible for measuring, controlling and explaining the financial reporting of the Region’s entities, covering a large part of BNP Paribas Business Lines. Within the EMEA Finance organization, this role ensures an accurate, reliable and comprehensive set of segmented financial data required for the production of all reporting streams related to Capital Markets Business Lines.

Your Main Activities Are

• Ensure the contribution to the monitoring of Capital Market Businesses by controlling the reconciliation of the accounting and economic P&L followed by the Front and Middle Offices.
• Work with main financial instruments (Derivatives, Forex, Bonds, Issuer bonds, Equities and Commodities) and with main businesses involved: Global Markets, ALMT and Personal Finance.
• Support the Team in performing in‑depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of identified breaks.
• Challenge P&L figures recognized by the business to ensure the reliability of economic and accounting data related to Capital Markets activities.
• Ensure the contribution to the BNP Paribas Group Financial statements and Regulatory Reporting.
• Provide assistance in responding to questions from external auditors, Operations (Middle Offices and Back offices), Front Offices, IT and other support groups.
• Make and lead suggestions to improve operational processes, control framework and team’s efficiency.
• Lead by example, observe the bank’s policies and procedures, keep the team members involved in their missions and objectives and assist them in their duties (training, support and proactive communication).

Profile and Skills to Success

• Good communication skills.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Academic background in Economics, Finance and Accounting.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to collaborate.
• Ability to share/pass on knowledge.
• Analytical ability.
• Ability to develop others & improve their skills.
• Finance & Budget – Accounting knowledge.
• Experience with MS Office Pack Microsoft Excel.
