Nortempo Porto is currently looking for a Category Buyer (M/F) for a client in the area of Porto.

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS

Support the Category Manager or Senior Category Buyer in the management of strategic suppliers.

Monitor suppliers’ financial data, load levels, capacity, and investment plans.

Perform market analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.

Ensure commercial agreements meet project and operational needs, delivering simplification, competitive pricing, and manufacturing slot reservations.

Incorporate lessons learned into ongoing vendor performance and commercial improvements.

Deliver Frame Agreements in line with the defined contracting plan and category strategy.

Support negotiations using benchmarks, detailed cost models, and TCO principles.

Assist Project and Operations teams in managing supplier risks (e. g. disputes, performance issues, slot allocation).

Measure contracted savings and track relevant supply chain KPIs.

Monitor and report performance indicators as required.

Issue Purchase Orders for key scopes on an
- hoc basis.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management within the oil and gas industry.

Commercial Acumen.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.

Good communication and

Market knowledge for the targeted products

Knowledge in Total Cost of Ownership methodology

Understanding of Cost Breakdown models

Good understanding of the products in your category in liaison with technical stakeholders
