CBK Controls Officer

About the Job

The CBK Controls Officer’s mission is to be responsible for performing the internal controls towards the operational activity performed by the Cash Hub teams.

Your Main Activities

• Communicate with correspondents and counterparts as well as internal departments.
• Monitor and manage Fraud Alerts (ACTIMIZE) and Suspicious Flows, gathering the necessary information to be able to unblock them if justification is provided.
• Manage clarification requests from counterparties regarding FATF compliance/Payment Transparency on SWIFT payments released from BNP Paribas and instructions received from counterparts.
• Follow the activity closely, i. e. monitor volumes evolution, workloads, recurring issues, and present solutions as well as ideas for improvement.
• Perform controls on Cash Hub Activity.
• Manage OUR Fees requests from counterparts.
• Escalate matters to line manager or senior colleagues when needed.
• Support management in all operational activity and also on transversal projects when required.
• Participate actively in all projects developed within the Department and BNP Paribas Portugal.
• Monitor, report and mitigate operational risk for all cases that the team is involved.

Profile and Skills to Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or related.
• At least 3 years of experience in Banking and Financial Operations or similar.
• Advanced level of English, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of MS Office Pack (Excel, Power
  Point).
• Attention to detail / rigor.
• Analytical ability.
• Organisational skills.
• Client focused.
