Certified Accountant
Overview
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant who can take on a broad and important role with comprehensive responsibility for the compliance of the company tax identifier, with a main focus on statutory reports and taxation, including analyzing and providing information about financial records, and close collaboration with corporate finance.
Responsibilities
- Drive the preparation and submission of the statutory financial statements
- Prepare and submit other local reports, tax reports
- Conduct internal tax audits according to the tax audit framework
- Ensure compliance with VAT and other local and EU regulations
- Support and provide data for the calculation of corporate tax, local business taxes, and any other taxes
- Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
- Actively participate in financial and tax audits
- Implement new compliance requirements (e. g. , online reporting)
- Respond to ad hoc Intrastat inquiries
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries from tax authorities regarding tax projections, etc.
- Collaborate with the group and
- site controllers and Corporate Finance - Prepare, analyze and monthly reporting of accounts, maintaining accounting records
- Provide financial and tax advice; collaborate with external tax adviser
- Support on frequent reporting requirements of government grants
- Carry out periodic reports with critical analysis of information, review of operational and financial performance indicators, providing suggestions for corrective measures
- Support in the preparation of quarterly forecasts
The successful candidate will have
- Education: University degree in Accounting or other appropriate field
- Certification as Certified Accountant
- At least 7 years of experience in statutory reporting and indirect taxes at an accounting firm, at a similar company or at a tax authority
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power
Point) - Language Skills: Proficiency in Portuguese and English
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and
- management skills
