- The successful candidate will indirectly lead a team of finance professionals to drive compliance (including statutory) and business impact across Portugal and Turkey. A key enabler of success will be cooperation with other organizations within Finance and Microsoft, fostering
- group collaboration and leveraging diverse expertise. - The Country Finance Lead is a member of the subsidiary leadership team and is accountable for executing all finance deliverables to support sustainable
- term growth. As part of the South Extended FLT, the Finance Lead influences community priorities and supports the success of individuals and the entire group. - People – Support the Subarea Team Finance Lead in building organizational capability that drives success. Develop skills to enhance understanding of customers, competitors, and industries. Promote inclusion and trust within teams and foster a Microsoft Company Owner mindset. Maximize the potential of our finance organization by working effectively across reporting lines and geographies.
- Prioritization – Drive
- term planning, set strategies, and align resource allocation for maximum return and growth. Monitor resource use and ROI, making adjustments as needed. Review partner investments to maximize partner ecosystem value and drive ACR at scale. Ensure FRA and controllable costs are met quarterly and performance goals are achieved across solution areas. Simplify processes to reduce internal time spent. - Partnership – Use insights to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and consumption growth. Engage with BDMs and Partners on Digital Transformation initiatives, aligning MS solutions with customer priorities. Collaborate with DD to optimize deal economics and ensure
- quality DWR submissions. Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. - Protect – Lead compliance efforts and set the tone for risk mitigation, focusing on preventing corruption, unethical sales, spend mismanagement, privacy issues, and discounts. Use resources like One Finance, Centers of Excellence, HRDD, and external advisors to anticipate and mitigate statutory, tax, and fiduciary risks. Ensure timely and accurate financial and tax filings. Proactively reduce complexity where possible and represent Microsoft in the local market as needed.
- Required/minimum qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in multinationals with
- product/multi-segment finance roles - BA/BS or MBA in Accounting and Finance, CPA/CA, or Professional Accounting Qualification
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Proven collaboration and team spirit, including virtual engagement
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- IT/Tech industry experience (desired but not required)
- Leadership aligned with values & integrity, with the ability to scale and influence for impact
- Experience in multinationals with
