Channel & Trade Marketing Manager
Responsibilities
- Research consumer trends, develop strategies, and create plans to drive growth across all channels with both B2B and B2C customers in line with business and brand objectives.
- Deliver projects satisfying local consumer needs by working closely with local and regional stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement; keep abreast of media channel developments to engage B2B customers for business growth.
- Maintain strong external relations with creative, media, PR and trade marketing agencies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Brand Marketing, Sales, Finance) and other departments to create compelling, insight‑based activations aimed at driving sales.
- Build consensus, influence, and resolve conflicts, while ensuring effective communication and presentation to stakeholders.
- Manage strategic and operational channel plans, including budgets, and evaluate channel performance using KPIs such as market share and brand awareness.
- Prepare, control, and implement Channel Marketing Plans in collaboration with sales managers to achieve financial and business objectives.
- Define opportunities for category management implementation in retail/DIG aligned with EMEA strategy and track associated initiatives.
- Ensure activation plans align with brand communication and NPD objectives across customer journey touchpoints.
- Work closely with brand managers and digital marketing specialists to keep brands visible on all channels.
- Execute trade fairs and local events; oversee budgeting, A&P allocations, and report ROI on activations.
- Build in‑depth market knowledge to inform budget planning and identify growth opportunities.
- Serve as a partner to sales and retailers, optimizing store presence and first touchpoints.
- Champion VIP store concepts in trade and channel marketing management; analyze market trends and design profitable customer journeys for B2B/B2C.
- Develop and optimise integrated marketing programs to achieve business goals for VIP customers in trade.
- Drive activations for B2B target audiences following yearly plans.
Qualifications
- Degree in marketing, international business or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in brand, trade, consumer marketing or execution of store concepts. Category‑management experience a plus.
- Knowledge of key marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, delivering results on budget and time.
- Experience managing strategic and operational channel plans, including budgeting.
- Experience evaluating channel performance using KPIs (e. g. , market share, brand awareness).
- Good product knowledge and understanding of the painting/construction industry is an advantage.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Very strong spoken and written local language and English.
- Willingness to travel 5–10% of the working time.
