Job Title: Data Governance Specialist



Location: Lisbon, Portugal



Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (2x to 3x office days)

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Support the implementation and evolution of the organization's Data Governance program.
  
  
• Configure, integrate, and optimize Microsoft Purview (catalog, classification, lineage, policies).
  
  
• Ensure data governance is integrated throughout the entire information lifecycle.
  
  
• Work closely with IT, Data, Security, and Privacy teams (CISO/DPO).
  
  
• Define and monitor policies, standards, metrics, and indicators for Data Governance and Data Quality.
  
  
• Contribute to the training of data owners, data stewards, and business teams.
  
  
• Promote data best practices and a
  - driven culture within the organization.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Management, Economics, or a related field.
  
  
• Experience with Microsoft Purview (cataloging, classification, lineage, metadata, policies).
  
  
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Privacy.
  
  
• Experience in defining data governance operating models (roles, processes, and frameworks).
  
  
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and
  - technical stakeholders.
  
  

• Experience with other Data Governance tools (e. G. , Collibra, Informatica).
  
  
• Knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft Data & AI ecosystem.
  
  
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft Purview, Azure, Data Governance, Data Management).
  
  
• Experience in complex and regulated corporate environments.
  
  
• Awareness of GDPR, Information Security, and Compliance topics.
