Clearance Broker with French
Overview
As a Clearance Broker you will work closely with Customs to enable
- time clearance and delivery. You will ensure checks and processes are completed to support timely and compliant transactions and regulatory adherence. Effective, courteous, and professional communication, along with taking ownership of issues and requirements, are key to the role. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Preparing customs entry documentation based on paperwork supplied with the shipment.
- Checking that all customs documentation is completed correctly.
- Contacting clients by email and phone to provide any missing or unclear information necessary to allow customs clearance.
- Ensuring the correct identification and accurate input of shipment information into appropriate systems.
- Producing and validating customs data and paperwork to support regulatory and internal compliance standards and to ensure timely clearance.
- Maintaining accuracy within a
- paced, goal‑oriented environment.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in English (B2 – C1) and French (B2 - C1).
- Team player with a can‑do attitude.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Task oriented with good time management.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Able to make independent decisions based on expertise.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Willing to develop in a multinational/multicultural environment.
