Role: GCP Technical Architect

Location: Hybrid, Lisbon - Portugal

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, evaluate and manage cloud architectures, including landing zones, reusable components, deployment and governance.
• Transform requirements into modular solutions that are secure and scalable, with focus on microservices, APIs and
  - native approaches.
• Lead the definition of technical guidelines, architectural standards and ADRs, promoting reusable and normalized components.
• Study and evaluate use cases (Go/No
  Go2 Cloud) considering dependencies, security, costs and risks.
• Collaborate on integration with new AI technologies, namely Gen
  AI, and mentor technical teams on security and monitoring.
• Maintain strong knowledge of security, monitoring and cloud operations to support delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or in similar areas.
• 4+ years of experience in software architecture, focusing on microservices, APIs, integrations and distributed solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including the main components: Cloud DNS, VPC, Cloud Load Balancer, Cloud Armor, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Logging, Cloud Pub/Sub, Artifact Registry, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud IAM, Secret Manager.
• Ability to conceptualize and manage cloud architectures with landing zones, reusable components, deployment and governance.
• Ability to transform requirements into secure, scalable modular solutions with a focus on microservices, APIs and
  - native patterns.
• Strong experience with security, monitoring and mentorship of technical teams.
• GCP Certifications like Cloud Architect and Cloud Engineer (good to have).
• Practical knowledge of orchestration and deployment tools like Kubernetes, Terraform and Git
  Ops (good to have).
• Fluent in English – written and spoken (mandatory).
