What You’ll Do

Solution Design & Architecture is responsible for the network digital transformation of Vodafone networks, delivering innovative digital planning, optimization, automation, and tooling on GCP/AWS leveraging the Vodafone Data Ocean. The journey starts from digital solution definition and design, passing through development and delivery up to network operation.

As a solution designer, you will design Vodafone’s
- generation network digital solutions in conjunction with teams across Vodafone. This role requires embedding with delivery squads and engaging with peers, product managers, Security, and Privacy teams to create consistent designs with common standards.

The Network Solution Designer will be responsible for architecture design deliverables of Network Digital Product solutions, ensuring solutions align with best practices of GCP/AWS and Vodafone architecture standards.

This role will:

1. Design, prototype, and deliver
   -
   - end solutions on
   - stack technologies, primarily focusing on Google Cloud, with knowledge of AWS as a bonus.
2. Respond to business needs for
   - efficiency and agility support.
3. Provide expertise and issue management in crisis situations.
4. Partner with tool suppliers (e. g. , GCP/AWS) to ensure
   -
   - class design of technologies implemented at large scale.
5. Provide sourcing recommendations for software components and system integration work.
6. Integrate architectural design following group guidelines.
7. Propose new solutions, tools, and strategies to address gaps or enhancements in new markets.
8. Document and keep architecture evolution up to date.

Who You Are

1. Degree or equivalent in computer science or a scientific/technical discipline.
2. GCP/AWS Certified Architect (e. g. , Professional Cloud Architect).
3. TOGAF and/or Archimate2 certification.
4. Experience with GCP/AWS implementations such as Big
   Query/Redshift, Pub
   Sub/SQS, Cloud
   SQL/RDS.
5. Experience with Data Movement technologies like CDAP, Informatica, Talend, Nifi, Kafka.
6. Extended knowledge of relevant components and vendors in BI, GCP/AWS, Kubernetes, Istio.
7. Experience engineering ETL Pipelines is a bonus.
