We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer for a project based in Lisbon.

This role focuses on automating the provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure, specifically for the role that supports Microsoft Fabric components and associated infrastructure. You will play a key role in enabling scalable, secure, and efficient environments for data‑driven solutions.

The team’s core responsibilities include analysis and architecture validation of cloud infrastructure supporting Microsoft Fabric workloads.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in automating Azure infrastructure for data and analytics platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for Ia
  C and deployment orchestration.
• Solid scripting skills in Power
  Shell and/or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure Dev
  Ops, Git
  Hub Actions).
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture and its infrastructure dependencies.
• Familiarity with Azure networking, identity, monitoring, and security.
• Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira for task management.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• AZ‑900 Certification is required.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management is a plus.
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with 2 days/week on‑site.
• Passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) solutions to automate the deployment of Azure resources supporting Microsoft Fabric (e. g. , Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, Lakehouse).
• Collaborate with architects and data engineers to define infrastructure requirements aligned with Fabric workloads.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation templates using Terraform and manage deployments via Env0.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cost optimization best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks via Jira.
• Document infrastructure designs, automation processes, and operational procedures.
• Support the team in architecture validation and infrastructure analysis.
