As a Cloud Engineer (m/f/d), you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the foundational cloud infrastructure for the most central data products within our Data Mesh. You will design, implement, test, and optimize the cloud platforms that support our critical data applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will communicate with internal and external parties to understand and analyze the requirements you are working on, to produce the best results. Your team is part of the newly founded
- driven and
- based incubator project KN New IT Ecosystem (KNITE). From Porto, you can shape KN's Outgoing Invoice Data Product and pave the way for other data products to come!
How you create impact
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Ia
C tools (e. g. , Terraform), containerization (e. g. , Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/logging solutions. - Work closely with Data and Software Engineers to build
- native solutions for data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics. - Automate workflows and operational tasks to enhance efficiency and minimize manual effort.
- Maintain cloud environments with a focus on security, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, best practices, and agile development processes.
- Assess infrastructure needs and produce clear, detailed technical documentation.
- Ensure the cloud infrastructure is of high quality, scalable, and easy to maintain over time.
What we would like you to bring
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or Dev
Ops roles, ideally with a data platform focus. - Expert in AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Proficient in Terraform (Ia
C), Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting (Python/Bash). - Skilled in CI/CD pipeline design and cloud infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Snowflake, Apache Kafka, and both SQL/No
SQL databases. - Grasp of cloud architecture, automated testing, and security best practices.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
