Responsibilities
- Drive Cloud Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead and execute
- impact projects aimed at reducing overall cloud expenditure. - Manage and Optimize Data Services: Oversee the configuration and ongoing optimization of
- critical Elasticsearch clusters, downscaling clusters, and implementing configuration changes to improve performance and
- efficiency. - Optimize Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: Review and optimize
- cloud infrastructure solutions using Terraform to support key applications and services across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Enhance Operational Efficiency: Improve existing infrastructure by implementing automation for key processes, such as, instance optimization (i. e. Intel/AMD->ARM), cleanup of EBS volumes, creating new Kubernetes Virtual Node Groups (VNGs) and configuring network routing to reduce data transfer costs.
- Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with
- functional teams to plan and safely roll out changes to production environments. This role requires the ability to both execute complex tasks independently and provide technical leadership on key projects. - Software Development and Automation: Apply software development best practices to build scripts and tools that automate cloud operations and support ongoing cost management efforts.
Requirements
- Senior-Level Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, Dev
Ops, or Site Reliability Engineering role, with a strong emphasis on cloud infrastructure and operations. - Multi-Cloud Proficiency: Proven,
- on experience implementing, and managing infrastructure across multiple major cloud providers, specifically AWS, Azure, and GCP (focus on AWS). - Expertise with Data Services: Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing
- scale Elasticsearch clusters in a production setting. - Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C): Experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources. - Containerization & Orchestration: Mid-level experience with container technologies like Docker and expertise in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.
- Driven by technology and challenges.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in similar projects or roles.
- Strong adaptability and learning mindset, comfortable handling tasks that may go beyond the initial scope.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization, ideally with experience in related projects.
- Experience with Spot. io.
